The CHPA is using Slack to enhance communication among its members. Invitations to join Slack are being sent in stages.  So far officers, board members and tournament directors have been invited.  If you should have received an invitation, but have not:  Request to Join Slack

The General Meeting is scheduled for April 4 at 10:00 am via video conference.  All CHPA members are encouraged to attend.  If you did not receive an email invitation from the Double Ringer newsletter, but would like to join the meeting,  subscribe to the Double Ringer .

The COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic is rapidly changing the way  that we think, act, gather, learn and live our daily lives. Yes, that  also means how we play horseshoes.  With the most recent declaration from the Colorado Department  of Health, effect immediately, no person shall organize or stage  events or gathering of 10 or more participants. The Colorado  Horseshoe Pitchers Association has cancelled all tournaments  through April 19.  We will continue to monitor this situation and keep you informed.  Please stay in touch by visiting the CHPA website for updates. The CHPA World All Stars tournament, March 21, has been canceled due to COVID-19 concerns.

The CHPA General Meeting was scheduled to be held at Front Range Community College. FRCC is a state institution and is bound to follow state guidelines to limit coronavirus exposure and spreading it in the community.  All events will be cancelled from March 14 thru mid-May. Based on this information, our rental scheduled for April  4 th  has been cancelled .  Updates will be posted as new information becomes available concerning the date and location of the meeting.

The Irish Open, scheduled for March 14, has been cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns.

The annual CHPA General Meeting is scheduled for April 6 at Front Range Community College  (driving map) , Westminster, Room C-0401  (campus map) .  Enter through the Welcome Center to the left of the flagpoles (entrance 1 on the campus map), at the main hallway, turn right, then almost immediately take a  left into the small hallway (next to restrooms and elevators) C-0401 is on the right side. All members are encouraged to attend and participate.  The submission deadline for amendments to the By-Laws is April 1.  Send your amendment(s) to Vicki Barham ( bhccolorado@yahoo.com ) or submit online .  You can also view proposed amendments that were submitted online.
