Double Ringer Newsletter, July 2026

 President's Pitch

Hi everyone,

As we approach the 4th of July weekend, the CHPA wants to take a moment to send our thoughts and prayers to all of our members impacted by the active wildfires in Colorado.
To those who are dealing with evacuations, poor air quality, or the stress of having fires close to home: please know the group is standing with you. We wish everyone a meaningful holiday and, above all, hope that you and your loved ones stay completely safe. For the month of July there are no scheduled tournaments. But if someone steps up and wants to run one. I’ll be happy to do an email blast and post it on the CHPA event calendar. The Rocky Mountain Open will be the first tournament after the Worlds, August 1st with the Tournament of Champions the following weekend, August 8th.

Good luck to the Colorado pitchers who are attending the World Tournament in Wausau WI. We have a great turn out to represent Colorado.

The CHPA is still looking for nominations for the President’s Award. Please send me in writing who you would like to receive this award.

Criteria:
The President Award usually is given for outstanding accomplishment or special service to CHPA during the past years

Just a reminder that the Colorado State Singles Tournament is again in Fort Collins August 22 and 23, The number of entries will determine if it will be a 2 day event. Please send in your entry form by the deadline, August 10th.

That’s it for now. See you at the pits.
Vicki
