 Presidents Pitch

Hi All!

I hope you are enjoying the start of our summer league and outdoor tournament season.  We have been using the new eshoes scoring program this past month and slowly we are working out some of the glitches. So, thanks to all of you for your patience.  I think this is a great tool! It allows the director to move around and also play.  Games are posted as soon as players approve the score.  Results can be printed immediately.  Scoresheets can be reviewed later to determine consecutive ringers or if a player wants to have a print out of their game. Most of all, NO MORE PRINTED SCORESHEETS!  If you are a tournament director and want to use the new scoring program, contact Jim Kenny with the NHPA and he will send you your login information.  You must be assigned to a tournament(s) by Scott Cline for Jim to give you access.  We have set-up instructions and you can contact Joe Rossi or myself if you have any questions.

Just a reminder, you still need to contact the tournament director by the deadline and pay your entry fees at the same time.  There is still a lot of work that needs to be done before we set foot on the courts and most of the directors are still working full time jobs.  So please help them out by meeting the deadlines and assisting with cleanup and breakdown. Also, if you are able,  please plan on spending the day at the tournaments. Scorekeepers are still needed and most of you would love not having to keep your own score.

It's that time again when nominations are being accepted for several of the CHPA awards.  We are looking for those who step up and help our sport.  Either by helping run your local league, helping with set ups and cleaning up for league play or tournaments.  Any members that go the extra mile to help.  So look back to last year or even this year and send in your nomination of that one person you think deserves to be recognized.
